Expertise
We have designed equipment up
to 100kW covering most technologies; AC-DC, DC-AC, DC-DC.
Circuits down to 200mW for portable instruments etc. We have many years
of experience in power supply design for UK companies and are up to date
with the latest technologies. We also have extensive experience in designing UPS,
switch mode systems, power control / monitoring and motor & drive control applications.
ML Electronics is an ISO9001 accredited company.

AC/DC Power Supply
Mains offline AC/DC bespoke power supply design, providing three dedicated custom
outputs. This unit was used in an MPEG satellite decoder and modulator. |

Turbine scavenge fan controller
|
|

An advanced controller for the monitoring and controlling of a scavenge
fan used in a turbine. Using ruggedised power electronics to control the
400Hz supply, fault currents of up to 50A are monitored and controlled.
This design incorporates an advanced micro-controller that continuously
checks for the safe operation of both the unit and fan, then relays
information to the management system. |

Power supply and monitor for high reliability
applications
This design has an advanced high density power supply and monitoring system for ultra high
reliability environments. Special PSU topology provides high efficiency and power factor
correction. Four micro-controllers provide a high level of monitoring and a built in
management system provides advanced communications and in-unit intelligence. The unit is
designed for shock, vibration and impact testing.

6 Watt 4 output DC/DC converter
(extended temperature range and low profile )
Using ferrite materials (Philips 3F3 ) it is possible to run PWM
convertors at increasingly higher operating frequencies and power densities.
This design includes a wide range 24 volt (nominal) input with 4 isolated outputs. The
unit is unusual in that one of the outputs is referenced to the primary side. Current mode
control, ultra low impedance capacitors, schottky diode and FET technology combine to
provide a robust solution to this particular low profile, industrial temperature range
power requirement.
