MLE supports Comic Relief

We’ve been tucking into some delicious hot dogs today (with plenty of red(-nose?!) tomato ketchup of course) to raise money for Comic Relief to help poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged people across Africa and throughout the UK.

Following on from our famous “bacon butty Wednesdays” and the roaring success of our “sausage Thursdays”, our Engineering Manager Paul thought this would be an ideal way to raise some cash for the charity. Staff were encouraged to wear red t-shirts for the day to show their support, and to donate money in exchange for the yummy food. And our boss Mike has put money into the kitty to more than cover the costs, which means 100% of donations raised from the team will go to Comic Relief.

Prompted by the group of celebrities who’ve recently climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Comic Relief , our conversation inevitably included reminiscences from our own star hikers from the Production team, Pete and Paul, who successfully made the trip up Mount Kilimanjaro (and back down again!) just a few months ago.
