- MLE runners up at the BEEA awards 2010

We were runners-up in 2 categories at the British Engineering Excellence Awards 2010. The Awards aim to demonstrate and promote the quality of engineering design within the UK; to emphasise innovation and effectiveness in order to allow smaller companies to compete on an equal footing with larger ones; to act as an incentive to the design engineering industry to create world-class businesses; to provide a benchmark of excellence from which the industry can learn and from which it can build; and to demonstrate the power of engineering design innovation within the UK to the world.
The 2 categories that we were runners-up in were:
Consultancy of the Year – We were nominated because the Judges were looking for evidence of the speed with which projects had been delivered, along with the range of technologies handled. Other critical factors were the ratio of concepts to final products and the degree of innovation applied. Mechatronic Design of the Year – Our Bee trainer project was nominated for this category which is a innovative application of electronic and mechanical technologies to solve a given problem.
Pete Stanforth, Sales & Marketing said “It was great to be recognised in 2 categories from our peers in the industry”
