MagnetiserCase Study: Magnestisers

MLE have designed and manufactured 'capacitor discharge' magnetiser equipment for polymer ferrite magnet applications.

A typical specification is shown below, however as power supply technology designers we have the capability to produce a wide range of equipment for varying power requirements.

Magnetiser Specification

Charge voltage: variable up to 2kV
Energy storage: up to 4kJ
Discharge current: up to 20kA
Monitoring: trigger pulse and current sense from shunt, both signals isolated and earth referenced.
Control: 24v ac control loops to facilitate interlocking separate circuit for 'charge' and 'fire' and automatic discharge of capacitors when 'charge' command is released.
