High Speed FPGA Design
MLE has extensive in house design experience with Altera, Xilinx and Lattice FPGAs and CPLDs using both VHDL and Verilog.
Commonly used devices used include Stratix II, Stratix II GX, Cyclone II, MaxII, Virtex-4, Spartan2, Coolrunner2, ECP2 amd MachXL.
FPGA design experience includes the use of embedded processors, SDRam, DDR2, Flash, Gigabit serial IO, SPI, I2C, RS232, One-wire.
Specific applications include
Active Noise cancellation
Broadcast video processing in both standard and high definition - MPEG2, SDI, HD-SDI, ASI, Closed captioning, Teletext, Wide screen signalling
Audio processing - MP3, AC3, AES, I2S, Embedded audio
Instrumentation / Measurement systems using DACs & ADCs with sample rates of 100Mbs+
