MLE possesses over 150 years of collective electronics development experience
and brings together a wide range of electronics engineering skills from a
variety of backgrounds.
We have experience of developing products for clients across many different
markets; as a result we have developed knowledge of these markets and their
requirements. This also means we are able to cross-pollinate ideas from one
market into another. On many occasions we have developed a solution for a
client that made use of technology being applied in another market that our
client had not previously been aware of. It is this experience and knowledge
that keeps our clients coming back and attracts new clients to us.

didBOX - didBOX is a driver identification and access control system aimed primarily
at limiting unauthorised use of fleet vehicles. It offers its customers many
benefits including enabling access to vehicles to be limited to approved
drivers only, records and measures equipment usage, by operator, date and
time, integrates easily with simple spreadsheets and has low set-up and
running costs. |

Scientific
Developing hi-quality instrumentation for scientific use is an area that is
growing. MLE have been involved in a number of projects in this area,
however due to the often-sensitive nature of our client’s work, we are
unable to discuss projects in detail.

Automotive
Projects for the automotive industry often present MLE with challenges,
which we relish, as the product specifications are often tight and call for
the most innovative of solutions to cater for these.

Ferrari - Ferrari involved MLE in development work on a new top secret project, which
looked at measuring rotating angles at high speed using the difference
between two resolver positions. Ferrari had such specific requirements, that
when they looked for an off-the-shelf solution, they couldn’t find one, so
they commissioned one instead, which is where MLE came in. MLE were tasked
with developing a dual channel, high-precision and high-speed resolver
interface, which was able to drive two resolvers with accuracies of 0.25
degrees at 20,000RPM. |
