ML Electronics celebrates its 10th Birthday
ML Electronics (MLE) is celebrating
10 years in business. This anniversary marks the end of an exciting
18 months. In this time MLE has expanded its client base and
presence in the medical devices market, moved to new premises as a
result of sustained growth and brought its considerable electronics
expertise to a daily global television audience of over 50 million
people.
Originally based in a small countryside barn, husband-and-wife team
Mike and Sharon Lloyd started the company with a modest government
grant in 1995. They have since established a profitable business
specialising in developing high technology electronics. Today the
company operates out of a purpose-built complex on the outskirts of
Salisbury and can count Ferrari’s Formula 1 team amongst its
portfolio of clients.
ML Electronics are now looking to build upon the success of the
past decade and strengthen their position as a leading developer of
specialist electronics systems. Mike Lloyd, Managing Director says,
“We have enjoyed 10 great years so far doing what we love;
developing highly specialised electronics solutions and we are
thankful to our employees, clients and suppliers who have supported
us strongly during that time. As we continue to grow we shall be
looking to our local and surrounding communities to provide us with
the skills we need to enjoy another successful 10 years.”
Clients in the medical, industrial, HVAC, audio and general
commercial markets have all benefited from MLE’s strength in
integrating their wide range of electronics expertise. While still a
relatively small company, MLE has a growing reputation both
nationally and internationally as a leading developer and
manufacturer of specialist electronics. A high profile example of
their abilities is their involvement in developing urban artists
Greyworld’s sculpture ‘The Source’. 50 million people now view MLE’s
electronics expertise daily as the opening and closing of London’s
stock markets are broadcast. ‘The Source’; 10 metres taller than the
Angel of the North was commissioned by the London Stock Exchange and
unveiled at the opening of the new stock exchange building in July
2004 by The Queen.
